IT support for pupils at home and in school

In the parents and carers section of the website we have recently added a section about IT support for pupils.

We aim to keep you up to date with the latest information to help support the pupils learning through using different Information Technology both at school and at home.

To begin with we have included two articles, one is an Acceptable Use Policy form that you should have received from the school this term and the other gives you information and support about getting free microsoft office software for use for learning at home for all Dundee school pupils. All this information can be found in the ICT folder under the parents and carers tab or by clicking here.

Newsletter

The school Newsletter contains information regarding pupil achievements, school business and forthcoing events.  As always we welcome feedback on our publications and would be particulalry interested to hear from Parents and Carers who have suggestions for other items that you would like to see included in future editions.

 

Tayside Higher Education Exhibition

All S5/S6 pupils are being given the opportunity to attend the Tayside Higher Education exhibition at Dundee and Angus College.

This event will be happening 22 September 2016 at Dundee & Angus College,
Gardyne Campus.

Any pupils wishing to attend have to register their interest via this link. They will then be sent their ticket to attend via email which they will need to print off.

S3 Visit to Dundee and Angus College

Thank you to Dundee and Angus College for their hospitality and for inviting our new S3 pupils to their campus.

The pupils got the chance to samply a variety of courses ober two days that are available at the college and a fantastic time was had by all.

This experience should prove invaluable to these pupils when deciding their future course and career choices.

Our Celebration of Success evening was held on Tuesday 21st June and was well attended and enjoyed by all. We at Baldragon are proud of all of our young people and the high standards they set.

Literature for Parents and Carers

Two leaflets are being sent home with pupils on Wednesday 29th June 2016. They provide information from the Scottish Government regarding the Named Person scheme and information from Dundee Partnership in relation to Improving Children's Outcomes in Dundee.

 

 

If your child is absent this afternoon and does not receive the leaflets they can collect them from the schoool office.  The Named Person document is also available on The Scottish Government website: www.gov.scot and the Dundee Partnership one is shown here;

 

 

School Officials

The School Officials for this coming academic year have been announced.

House Captains will be appointed by the House Teams after the summer break..

Blazer Ordering Information

Blazers are available to order from our suppliers Border Embroideries. From Monday 4th July they will also be available to try on and purchase at The Schoolwear Shop in Dundee City Centre.

Border Embroideries are our suppliers for school blazers.  They can be purchased online or at their shop, which is The Schoolwear Shop, 19 Commercial Street Dundee.

Our June 2016 Newsletter is now available.

 

In this summer edition of the newsletter you will find information about what has been happening in school, stories of excellence,trips and competitions. There is also a full list of our pupils who were honoured in this years celebration of sucess.

Suggestions for the types of articles you would like to see in future newsletters as welcome, and these can be submitted via the Baldragon Academy Parent Partnership, or by email direct to the school.

 

 

New Build Progress
