Open Tay Learning (OTL) website is live.

Open Tay Learning is a digital initiative from the Tayside Regional Improvement Collaborative aiming to recognise achievement whilst promoting attainment of learners at National 1-3 levels.  This is a collaborative teacher led response to the views from learners (as evidenced in the ASL Implementation Review, March 2020) and research carried out on approaches to learning during the nationwide covid lockdowns. It also builds on previous feedback from teachers on the provision of practical strategies aimed at removing barriers to learning and supporting accreditation for learners with additional support needs.

This initiative seeks to improve outcomes for learners and provide greater personalisation and choice by expanding the curriculum offer developing pathways for learners of all abilities. Underlying this approach is a commitment to promote equity by enabling access to high quality learning experiences for all learners, regardless of abilities and personal circumstances. This includes those facing challenges which prevent full-time attendance at school.

The Teacher Resource Section on the Open Tay Learning website is now LIVE. Please access via this link www.opentaylearning.co.uk

On the website you will find a STEM Resource Bank to support teaching staff and assistants. The STEM resource bank contains a wide range of differentiated resources and materials to support the delivery of a range of STEM subjects at National 1,2 and 3. At present the website is for teacher use only but a learner section of the website is currently being developed and further updates will follow.
