TRIC Virtual Campus Prospectus for 2023 2024
The TRIC Virtual campus has shared its the prospectus for the coming year. It details the nine Advanced Highers, one Higher and the other courses available for S6 pupils from June.
These courses will run alongside those offered through the City Campus and those in school. The Virtual Campus caters primarily for those courses where numbers are expected to be low and therefore unviable in a number of schools. The VC aims to promote equity of access to courses for all learners in S6 in Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross schools.
The TRIC VC is also able to support the Open University's Young Applicants in Schools Scheme courses, Italian and German through Edinburgh College, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments course in Fundamentals in Financial Services (for those interested in a career in financial services) and courses in Chinese languages.
Prior to starting the subject teaching proper in August, learners will be expected to complete the online Bootcamp Induction course in June. This will be worth additional SCQF and Insight points and aims to add value to the experience of learners, preparing them in key digital, academic, personal and independent and collaborative study skills.
