Grove Academy Art and Design SQA Folio Exhibition

Grove Academy Art and Design Department recently held a showcase exhibition of their pupils' SQA folios from 2021 2022.

Learners studying National 5 are required to create 2 folios, one of them being a Graphic Design folio. The young people selected a theme based on an environmental issue to raise awareness for an organisation of their choice. They have been gaining Photoshop software skills to produce their poster advertisements as this is a software package widely used in the creative industry.  Pupils studying Higher Graphic Design selected what they would like to advertise e.g., a poster, album cover, magazine cover etc. then work through the design process to create a final outcome.

Using digital cameras, the photographs shared were used for SQA Higher Photography submissions 21/22. These demonstrate how pupils have learned to experiment with an array of photography style and techniques then work on a theme of their choice for their final project.
