Staff Glow - Moving Local Authorities

Important information regarding Glow accounts and their content for all staff moving post to another Local Authority.
Moving Post between Local Authorities - Glow Access Implications

All staff are reminded that should you move Local Authority (inward or outward) your Glow account will be closed at the same time as your work record. This means you will no longer have access to your Glow account or the resources within it. When you start your new post in your new Local Authority (LA), you will be issued with a brand new account which will not be linked or have access to your old account.

This is in line with the national guidance introduced by Education Scotland and Scottish Government several years ago and you find more details about this national policy via https://glowconnect.org.uk/.

To ensure you do not lose anything you may require/own within it you may wish to make a copy/download it, however you should ensure you comply with GDPR regulations at all times.

If you are moving to another school in the same local authority, i.e. one Dundee school to another this will not apply and your Glow account will be moved with you although you may have reduced access over a 24/48hr period whilst your new work record is opened.

Learner accounts are not impacted should they move school within or out with their current Local Authority.
