Wear It Pink Day 2009
Combined Coffee Morning/Book Sale
Senior pupils and staff from Menzieshill High School are holding a Coffee Morning in aid of Breast Awareness Campaign: Wear It Pink Day.
The pupils have invited fellow S6 and staff to join them for coffee on Friday 30 November when pupils and staff will donate £1 to enjoy their interval break together. They have added a book fair to the event to encourage a book exchange for staff and pupils.
The coffee morning, in aid of Breast Cancer, will be held in the library between 10.30 and 11.30 on Friday 30th October.
Senior pupils (S6) and staff are invited/encouraged to wear something pink and come along to share drinks and purchase home baking.
S6 pupils have taken a quick photo of staff and S6 for fun posters (only for use in school).
In addition S6 are organising a Wear it Pink Disco on Friday lunchtime in the hall.
A donation to the Breast Awareness Campaign will be gratefully appreciated on entry this is open to all school pupils and any staff who may wish to attend would be most welcome.
Thanks to the S6 pupils who helped arrange the events. This is the third monthly coffee morning arranged by S6.
The aim of the coffee mornings are to:
- Develop good relationships between staff and S6
- Provide leadership opportunities for S6 pupils
- Raise money for charity and school events.
Well done to all concerned.
