Applications for Prefect Positions
We will soon be inviting applications for the position of Prefect within the school.
Forms will be available to download here or they can be picked up from the Guidance office. Applications should be marked for the attention of the Business Manager and can be sent by email to the school office at menzieshill@dundeecity.gov.uk or posted in the postbox outside the school office reception.

Parent Forum: Health and Wellbeing for All
Parents joined our second Parent Forum meeting of the session to experience pupil activities related to Health and Wellbeing for All. The event was held in on Tuesday 24 Feb.
Language Works!

My SQA: Why wait for your SQA results?
Get your results... the day before!
This year, all National Qualifications candidates will receive their results (Standard Grade, Intermediate, Higher or Advanced Higher ) by post on Thu 5 August 2010.
Candidates registering for MySQA can receive their results the day before, on Wed 4 August by text or email.

Glow Report
We are encouraging all pupils to use their Glow account to access school information, homework and course revision materials.
Every pupil has a personal school email address which we will use.
Current Daily Bulletin
The Current Daily Bulletin for pupils is updated immediately on the website, is displayed in the middle social area and read out every morning in registration.
Every pupil has access to at least one of these sources.
School Events
MHS Prizegiving 2009-10
The Caird Hall was packed with proud pupils, staff, parents/carers, relations and friends as we celebrated awards to 351 pupils.
UK Maths Challenge 2010
Menzieshill High School pupils were presented with their UK Maths challenge awards by Head Teacher George Laidlaw.
Congratulations to all the winners who are pictured with Mr Laidlaw, Gerry Harkins PT mathematics and Eleanor Mackie teacher of mathematics.
S1/S2 Modern Studies Quiz 2010
In what turned out to be a "fan-tastic" double-winning weekend, Menzieshill HS finished first and second in the citywide S1/S2 Modern Studies Quiz held at Baldragon Ac. on Friday 14 May.
Harry McLevy Memorial Award 2010
The school winner of the Harry McLevy Memorial Award for 2010 was Kirsty Smith. Awarded annually, the S3 competition involves pupils researching a current political or social issue.
S3 visit the Scottish Parliament
30 S3 Modern Studies pupils took the opportunity to visit the Scottish Parliament and, after a tour of the building, the group had the chance to meet and question Dundee West constituency MSP Joe Fitzpatrick. More:

Scott Webster was one of two national winners in a essay writing competition organised by the Modern Studies Educational Trust. Read more ...

Our vouchers will be collected this week, so now is the time to turn out pockets and bags, look down the side of the sofa and collect up all the stray vouchers you can find.
Every little helps!
Collection boxes are also be in the LRC and the staffroom.

While you’re looking down the side of the sofa, remember we are collecting small change to make a big change in Africa.
Our water fund currently stands at £175.64 but apart from a magnificent contribution from Mrs Howard our well has got hardly any deeper on the last two weeks.
Let’s see if we can make a real difference before the end of term.
