Welcome to Peer Education
What is Peer Education all about?
Peer Education is an approach which empowers young people to work with other young people, which draws on the strength of positive peer pressure.
By means of appropriate training and support, young people become active players in the educational process rather than passive recipients of a set message.
Central to this process is the collaboration between young people and adults.
It is our intention set out how the peer education is used to support pupils in Menzieshill High School.

Peer Education Team
To be able to respond well to the wide range of topics and services that young people using The Corner request it is really crucial that there is the right mixture of staff, skills and experience.
Staff come from a wide range of backgrounds and professions including
- Youth Work
- Nursing
- Health Promotion
- Social Work Health & Welfare Studies
All staff are qualified and experienced for the job that they do and have been recruited through a process that involves young people who are familiar with the Corner and what it offers. This means that any young person can access a wider range of people when they drop in or phone and have the choice about seeing a male or female worker where possible.
Whoever you see will:
- Be welcoming and friendly
- Explain our confidentiality policy
- Treat you with respect
- Not judge you or your lifestyle
- Do their best to give you or get the support and information you require
- Listen to you
Best of ...
