Letters from the stars

Second year Menzieshill High School pupils have been busy writing letters to some famous people in order to promote reading and to find out the favourite book of their chosen famous person.

The class wrote letters to a wide variety of politicians, sports people, actors, personalities and local celebrities.

Replies have been received from several people including Sir Alex Ferguson, Brian Cox, Alex Salmond, David Cameron, Craig Forsyth and Lord Provost, John Letford.

One letter written to Tay Fm presenter, Stuart Webster sparked a debate on the radio about the importance of reading with lots of suggestions made to the show about books he may enjoy.
