Parent Forum: Health and Wellbeing for All
Tue 24 February 2009
6.30pm – 8.30pm
Parents are invited to join us at our second Parent Forum meeting of the session to experience pupil activities related to Health and Wellbeing for All. The event will be held in Menzieshill High School on Tuesday 24 February 2009 at 6.30pm and should last until 8.30pm. Refreshments, courtesy of Tayside Contracts, will be available from 6.30pm.
There are strong connections between effective, successful learning and health. Through this curriculum area, Curriculum for Excellence takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and promotes the aspiration that all children and young people should be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
After tasting samples of school cooking, you will try three from six workshops (A-F overleaf). Choose what you are interested in and find out more. After a short presentation from Mark Doherty, Depute Head Teacher and Tracey Stewart, Quality Improvement Officer we will then discuss:
- How good are we now: what should we keep doing?
- How good can we be: next steps: what would you like to see? and
- From our discussion: what are your priorities?
Should you wish to attend, please complete a Parent Council Reply Slip and return it in to the office… then just turn up on the night.
