CHOICES AT 14+ : Careers Scotland
Careers Scotland is the national organisation with responsibility for careers services in Scotland. All careers advisers in Tayside are professionally qualified to post-graduate level. Part of their role is to provide independent advice and information on the options available to young people on leaving school. Every school in Tayside has a careers adviser linked to it. Advisers work closely with various members of school staff, in particular those responsible for guidance.
The school has a planned programme of careers education and Careers Scotland is actively involved in this process. Careers Scotland’s Enterprise in Education adviser and the school’s link adviser contributes to this programme.
Careers Scotland’s contact in Menzieshill High is Jacqueline Orhiston.
Careers staff will be available for careers advice during the Parent Contact Evening.
Further appointments may be made through Guidance Teachers.
